Tem como objetivos analisar a hospitalidade na Universidade de Sorocaba, a partir do referencial teórico de Jacques Derrida. Compreender a importância do acolhimento e das interações humanas no ambiente universitário e as práticas de recepção aos calouros no curso de Hotelaria, tendo como base a hospitalidade. Os procedimentos adotados abarcam pesquisa bibliográfica, documentação fotográfica, registros históricos do curso quanto a prática do acolhimento dos alunos. A escolha desse tema, amarado a necessidade de pesquisar e pensar a hospitalidade na Universidade, surgiu em razão da importância de se compreender as questões das interações humanas no ambiente universitário, que Derrida afirma ser “um lugar explosivo, onde há dificuldade em querer dizer, em querer-se-dizer,” o que nos levará a relacionar os aspectos sociológicos e filosóficos da hospitalidade, e das relações existentes entre o veterano e o calouro, entre o mestre e o doutor, o educando e as diversas áreas do conhecimento, permitiu os seguintes resultados: 1 – a necessidade de colaborar com a produção do conhecimento, embasado em Jacques Derrida, no que se refere a questão da hospitalidade humana como uma prática: o que implica em acolher o outro enquanto outro; 2 - Pensar a prática da hospitalidade na Universidade, enquanto um lugar explosivo, de diferenças, de questionamento, de produção de conhecimento e no como os alunos serão recebidos e inseridos no ambiente acadêmico, operando o acolhimento ao outro que chega como o estranho, o calouro, o deficiente, o funcionário e o professor. Como conclusão final a dissertação afirma que cada vez que encontramos outra pessoa estamos a entrar em contato com um segredo, com um universo totalmente desconhecido e distinto de qualquer realidade existente que só será possível de ser decifrado pela criação de laços de proximidade pela prática da hospitalidade.This dissertação has as treated object, the thought of Derrida and the hospitality: analysis of the reception of freshmen in the course of Hotelaria, the University of Sorocaba in qualitative way. It has as objectives to analyze the hospitality in the University of Sorocaba, from the theoretical referencial of Jacques Derrida. To understand the importance of the shelter and the interactions human beings in the university environment and the practical ones of reception to the freshmen in the course of Hotelaria, being had as base the hospitality. The choice of this subject, landed on water necessity to search and to think the hospitality about the University, it appeared in reason of the importance of if understanding the questions of the interactions human beings in the university environment, that Derrida affirms to be “an explosive place, where has difficulty in meaning, in want-if-saying,” what in it will take them to relate the sociological and philosophical aspects of the hospitality, and the existing relations between the veteran and the freshman, between the master and the doctor, educating and the diverse areas of the knowledge, it allowed the following results: the 1 - necessity to collaborate with the production of the knowledge, based in Jacques Derrida, in what it is mentioned the question of the hospitality human being as practical one: what it implies in receiving the other while another one; 2 - To think the practical one of the hospitality about the University, while an explosive place, from differences, questioning, production of knowledge and in as the pupils will be received and inserted in the academic environment, operating the shelter to the other that arrives as the stranger, the freshman, the deficient one, the employee and the professor. As final conclusion the dissertação affirms that each time that we find another person we are to enter in contact with a secret, with an unknown and total distinct universe of any existing reality that will only be possible of being deciphered by the creation of proximity bows for the practical one of the hospitalityHospitalidadeEnsino superior - Sorocaba (SP)Dissertação
