| dc.description.abstract | De modo geral, manifestações que se relacionam a abusos infantis exigem bastante aptidão do cirurgião-dentista para condução do caso em questão, como também para reconhecimento e diferenciação de lesões por meio de olhar clínico minucioso, pois muitas vezes tais evidências vêm acompanhadas de comportamentos atípicos tanto da vítima como do abusador, os quais auxiliam no fechamento de um diagnóstico. Para elaboração deste trabalho foi realizada uma revisão de literatura nas bases de dados Scielo, PubMed e Google Scholar, sendo selecionados 47 artigos científicos referentes ao tema, além de 02 livros, publicados entre 1976 a 2024, tendo como objetivo relatar as dificuldades na identificação de sinais clínicos, como também comportamentais de abuso, em âmbito odontológico, mostrar como se caracteriza cada lesão, capacitando o cirurgião-dentista a identificar e diagnosticar tais abusos, bem como a importância desse profissional diante das situações relatadas e suas condutas de denúncia a partir de então. Conclui-se que o cirurgião-dentista através das competências adquiridas durante a graduação, deve ter domínio suficiente das características de normalidade e alterações da cavidade oral, para diferenciar e diagnosticar casos de abuso, demonstrando aptidão tanto na identificação, quanto no tratamento e na elaboração da notificação para denúncia. | pt |
| dc.description.abstract | In general, manifestations that are related to child abuse require a lot of aptitude from the dental surgeon to handle the case in question as well as to recognize and differentiate injuries through a thorough clinical look, as such evidence is often accompanied by behaviors atypical of both the victim and the abuser, which help to make a diagnosis. To prepare this work, a literature review was carried out in the Scielo, PubMed and Google Scholar databases, selecting 47 scientific articles relating to the topic, in addition to 02 books, published between 1976 and 2024, with the objective of reporting the difficulties in identifying clinical as well as behavioral signs of abuse in the dental field, showing how each injury is characterized, enabling the dentist to identify and diagnose such abuse, as well as the importance of this professional in the face of the reported situations and their reporting behavior from then on. It is concluded that the dentist, through the skills acquired during graduation, must have sufficient mastery of the characteristics of normality and changes in the oral cavity, to differentiate and diagnose cases of abuse within the office, demonstrating aptitude in both identification and treatment. and also in preparing the notification for reporting. | en |
