Abstract
This study has as a theme to observe, in the context of the studies of Literary Journalism (LJ), how the production of Serial Reportages (SR) is being developed in the Brazilian written press of contemporaneity. For this we rely on the theoretical foundations of Lima, (2009, 2016); Martinez (2008, 2016, 2017) and Bak (2011, 2018). The methodological approach is of Content Analysis, under the watchful eye of Bardin (2016), Martinez and Pessoni (2015), employing as corpus a serial reportages of each of the five regions of the country, besides a local production (Sorocaba, SP) - all developed by professionals trained in journalism, published in newspapers registered with the National Association of Newspapers (NAN – ANJ in portuguese) and that, besides the printed version, had the active site. The results indicate the existence of relationship between the samples with the LJ; that the professionals who develop it have an average age of 42 years, 20 of them of career; who are experts in several areas, with freedom of action on the agenda. It was concluded that the average of the productions is of 15 texts, distributed in 4,8 different and sequential editions, and that half of these editions count on articles authors of people of the community. It was also observed the precariousness of syntony and link between the printed and digital editions of the samples; and that SR does not occur in the large vehicles of national circulation, but in companies of tradition and survivors of the contemporary print market, which motivate editorially the development of serial reportages, but that the initiative is centralized in the reporter. The results also signal the breadth of possibilities for future studies.
