| dc.description.abstract | A observação empírica de que professores e pais têm dificuldade no reconhecimento da criança respiradora bucal levou-me a trabalhar neste assunto. Uma revisão bibliográfica cuidadosa embasou-me para pesquisar crianças entre dois e quatro anos, em duas creches (81 crianças e destas 14 eram respiradoras bucais). Os objetivos do trabalho foram: a Identificar a criança respiradora bucal entre 02 e 04 anos e o conhecimento que pais e professores revelam sobre respiração bucal. b) Propor um protocolo pedagógico de orientação aos pais e professores que lhes permitisse identificar precocemente o respirador bucal. A metodologia foi comparativa e realizada por meio de questionário, formulário e ficha de observação dirigida às professoras, pais e pesquisador, respectivamente. Os resultados demonstraram que pais e professores têm dificuldade em identificar o respirador bucal e em detectar sinais e sintomas da síndrome. Um protocolo com os dados mais importantes para reconhecimento do respirador bucal, foi elaborado para que professores e pais fossem capazes de identificá-los precocemente e assim iniciar o tratamento antes que se instalassem as seqüelas. | pt |
| dc.description.abstract | The practical observation that teachers and parents have difficulties in recognizing the mouth breather children led me to study this subject. A careful bibliography review on the subject lead me to research children between two and four years old, in two Day Care Centers (out of eighty one childrens, fourteen of then were mouth breathers). The work's objectives were: a) Identify the mouth breather child between two and four years old and the knowledge that the parents and teachers reveal about the mouth breathing. b) Propose a educational protocol on orientation to parents and teachers which allows them an early identification of a mouth breather. The method was comparative and accomplished by means of questionnaire, a special form and an observation card given to, parents, teachers and researchers. The results showed that the parents and teachers have difficulty in identifying the mouth breather and in detecting signs and symptoms of the simdrom. A protocol with the most important data for the recognition of the mouth breather, was elaborated so that theachers and parents were able to identify them and thus initiate the treatment before the consequences affected them. | en |
