A cineliteratura como comunicação literária e audiovisual: Lispector e Dourado sob o olhar de Suzana Amaral

| dc.description.abstract | A pesquisa que resultou nesta dissertação teve como objetivo desenvolver investigações sobre a transposição da linguagem escrita para a linguagem do audiovisual, centradas nas obras literárias: “A Hora da Estrela”, de Clarice Lispector e “Uma Vida em Segredo”, de Autran Dourado, adaptadas para o cinema pela cineasta Suzana Amaral. A análise comparativa acentuou a importância do livro como ferramenta dos media e o papel da cineliteratura como instrumento de difusão de obras clássicas da literatura como cultura de massa operada pelo Cinema. Ao abordar os pontos convergentes e divergentes entre duas personagens genuinamente brasileiras, buscou-se estudar aspectos ligados às características intrínsecas das personagens centrais das duas obras: Macabéa, de “A Hora da Estrela”, e Prima Biela, de “Uma vida em segredo”. Forçoso voltar também atenção especial para a problemática da dificuldade de comunicação, situação que se faz presente em ambas as personagens. Atentouse para as devidas distâncias – tempo e espaço –, visto a personagem de Lispector ser nordestina (embora ela afirme, inoricamente, numa das passagens do romance: “sou nortista, porque baiano é macumbeiro”), enquanto a de Dourado, mineira, em todos os sentidos de “ser” e “estar” neste mundo. Assim, esta abordagem analisou os enfoques regionais, tanto do jeito nordestino e perdido de ser de Macabéa e da mineirice de Prima Biela, observando aspectos curiosos: se nelas teriam ocorrido ou não as trocas culturais. Acrescentando ainda as rejeições que as duas personagens teriam sentido, em sua pele, no novo habitat ao qual tentaram pertencer, visto que migração e desenraizamento são a marca preponderante dos romances modernistas, onde o indivíduo é diluído na nova sociedade, havendo uma despersonalização do migrante. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The research that resulted in this dissertation aimed to investigate the passage from written to audiovisual language based in two literary works: “The Hour of the Star” by Clarice Lispector and “A Hidden Life" by Autran Dourado, both adapted for the screen by director Suzana Amaral. The comparative analysis highlighted the importance of the book as a tool for the media and the role of “cine-literature” as a medium for the diffusion of classic works of literature as mass culture operated by the Cinema. By addressing the similarities and differences between two genuinely Brazilian characters, we aimed to examine the aspects related to the intrinsic features of both central characters of the two works: Macabéa, from "The Hour of the Star" and Cousin Biela, from "A Hidden Life". We must pay attention to the communication issues present in both characters. Looking from a proper distance – time and space –, due to the fact that the character of Lispector‟s book is a Northeastern woman (though she claims, in an attitude full of prejudice, in one of the passages from the novel: "I come from the North, because Bahia inhabitants are Macumba followers"), while the character of Dourado‟s book is “mineira”, in all senses of “being” and “standing” in this world. This analysis examined regional approaches, both from the Northeastern and absentee behavior of Macabéa and the “mineirice” of Cousin Biela, aiming to highlight curious aspects: if cultural exchanges would have occurred or not in them. We should also add the rejections both characters felt themselves in the new habitat to which they tried to belong, due to the fact that migration and exil are the leading features of modernist novels, where the individual is diluted into the new society, with depersonalization of the migrant. | eng |
