Esse trabalho analisa a revista Leitura: Teoria & Prática, uma revista acadêmica na área da educação e leitura, de publicação semestral e que traz diferentes concepções de leitura na visão de renomados estudiosos de todo o país. Os trezentos e quinze artigos apresentados na revista de 1982 a 2004 foram classificados em seis categorias de análise: Conceito de Leitura; Leitura e Política; Pedagogia de Leitura; Biblioteca; Promoção de Leitura e Temas Relacionados. O estudo global das quarenta e quatro revistas evidencia mudanças significativas na sua linha editorial. A L:T&P, que a principio se relacionava com um leitor idealizado: o professor de educação básica, passa, após transformações em sua estrutura, a se relacionar com outro leitor, desta vez é o universitário e acadêmico. Como resultado final, esse trabalho retrata a multiplicidade de concepções para o ato de ler defendida por estudiosos de diferentes ciências, a importância e a evolução dos estudos sobre leitura no país.This resume articulates with the project entitled “written culture, linguistic education and social participation” which is subordinated to the research line from PPGE-Uniso, “knowledge and scholar quotidian”. This research analyses the magazine Leitura: Teoria & Prática (Reading: Theory & Practice), a half-yearly published academic magazine in the area of education and reading which brings different concepts of reading under the vision of renowned Brazilian studious. The three-hundred and fifteen articles presented in the magazine from 1982 to 2004 were classified in six analyze categories: Reading Concept; Reading and Politics; Reading Pedagogy; Library; Reading Promotion and Related Themes. The global studies of the forty-four magazines make clear significant changes in its editorial line. Leitura: Teoria & Prática magazine which in the beginning related to an idealized reader: after changes in its structure the basic education professor started to relate with another reader, this time to the university and college student. As a final result, this research portrays the multiplicity of conceptions of reading defended by studious of different sciences, the importance and the evolution of reading researches in the country.Leitura - BrasilLeitura e escritaDissertação
