Extensão universitária: o caso das instituições comunitárias de educação superior no Brasil

| dc.description.abstract | Esta tese faz uma análise da extensão universitária presente nas Instituições Comunitárias de Educação Superior – ICES, filiadas à Associação Brasileira das Instituições Comunitárias de Educação Superior – ABRUC. Com objetivo de pesquisar e analisar as convergências e divergências entre as concepções e práticas de extensão universitária nas 66 ICES filiadas à ABRUC, estudou-se essa temática na literatura especializada, na legislação brasileira vigente, além de pesquisar os documentos institucionais disponibilizados em seus sites e interpretar as respostas dadas a um questionário encaminhado aos setores responsáveis pela extensão universitária das ICES. A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa, caracterizando-se como um estudo descritivo. Apoiando-se numa análise de conteúdo de Laville e Dionne (1999), os dados foram trabalhados em três (03) grandes momentos: a descrição das concepções e práticas extensionistas; a redução em unidades de sentido, agrupadas em categorias organizadas nos três (03) grupos (documentos legais, institucionais e questionários); num terceiro momento, a interpretação pelo método da Triangulação de Dados, pautando-se em Minayo (2006) e Flick (2013). O entrecruzamento dos dados levantados com os três (03) grupos de análise permitiu verificar convergências e divergências sobre o entendimento de extensão e suas práticas nas ICES pesquisadas, com observância dos conceitos extraídos dos textos legais e literatura específica. O estudo contribuiu para reflexões sobre as práticas de extensão universitária que têm sido desenvolvidas pelas ICES. As revelações oriundas da Triangulação dos Dados possibilitaram considerar que: as atividades de extensão necessitam ser trabalhadas com o mesmo peso do ensino e da pesquisa na tríade que embasa a Universidade; os documentos que a institucionalizam devem ser mais claros e objetivos, apresentando consonância entre os conceitos editados e suas possibilidades de execução; a importância de se criar mecanismos de avaliação das práticas extensionistas. Recomenda-se a necessidade das ICES organizarem suas ações pautadas nos princípios declarados em seus regimentos, sob a égide da legislacao vigente. Assim, enfatiza-se a necessidade de novos estudos sobre as concepções de extensão e suas práticas, na seara da Educação Superior brasileira, com o objetivo de unificar os princípios, as diretrizes e a avaliação sobre a extensão universitária no sistema de ensino do país. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This thesis makes an analysis of the university extension present in the Community Higher Education Institutions - ICES, affiliated to Brazilian Association of Community Institutions of Higher Education - ABRUC. In order to examine and analyze the convergences and divergences between the conceptions and practices of university extension at 66 ICES affiliated to ABRUC, this theme was studied in the specialized literature, current Brazilian legislation, in addition to the institutional documents available on their websites and to interpret the responses given to a questionnaire sent to the sectors responsible for the university extension of the ICES. The research is of a qualitative nature, characterized as a descriptive study. Based on a content analysis by Laville and Dionne (1999), the data were worked on in three (03) great moments: the description of extensionist concepts and practices; the reduction of the units of meaning, grouped into categories organized in the three (03) groups (official, institutional documents and questionnaires); in a third moment, the interpretation by the Data Triangulation method, based on Minayo (2006) and Flick (2013). The intertwinded of the data collected with the three (03) groups in analysis revealed similarities and differences about the understanding of the extension and its technique in the researched ICES, with observance of the concepts extracted from legal texts and specific literature. The study contributed to reflections about university extension practices that have been developed by the ICES. The revelations arising from the Triangulation of Data made it possible to consider that: extension activities need to be worked with the same weight as teaching and research in the triad that underlies the University; the documents that institutionalize must be clearer and more objective, presenting consonance between the edited concepts and their execution possibilities; the importance of creating mechanisms for evaluating extensionist practices. It is recommended the need for ICES to organize their actions based on the principles stated in their bylaws, under the aegis of the legislation in force. Thus, it is emphasized the need for new studies on the conceptions of extension and its practices in Brazilian Higher Education, with the aim of unifying the principles, the guidelines, and the evaluation of university extension in the country's educational system. | eng |
